TERMS & CONDITIONS

For the safety of your child and ease of this service:
Driver and Fleet Safety
  • All KID-DROP drivers have a class 4 driver’s license, clean criminal record check, clean child welfare check and basic First Aid.

  • All KID-DROP drivers will be wearing visible KID-DROP Uniforms emblazoned with the KID-DROP logo for easy identification and visibility.

  • All KID-DROP vehicles are on a fleet tracking and video capable system.

  • All KID-DROP vehicles are equipped with seatbelts for every rider that must be used at all times.

  • The driver is in charge while children are riding with KID-DROP and his/her direction regarding safety must be followed at all times.

  • All KID-DROP Shuttles are equipped with a Fist Aid Kit & Fire Extinguisher 

  • Any verbal or physical abuse towards a fellow rider or driver will not be tolerated under any circumstance and may result in suspension/termination of services and loss of fare.

  • Parents/Guardians are not allowed to travel with their child on board our KID-DROP vehicles with the exception of private bookings

  • Due to allergies, KID-DROP is a scent free, food free environment. For the safety and comfort of all riders KID-DROP DOES NOT ALLOW any eating or drinking on our shuttles with the exception of water.

  • KID-DROP provides booster seats that are available upon request.

  • KID-DROP issued ID cards must be presented to KID DROP Driver’s at pickup

  • For the safety of all riders, the “KID-DROP Driver” is in “Charge” and the riders are required to follow his or her direction at all times.

  • Riders may not approach the shuttle until it has come to a complete stop

  • For the safety of all on board, only KID-DROP Drivers are allowed to operate our shuttle equipment on the bus, including but not limited to windows, doors, heat registers, safety equipment, etc.

  • All children must remain seated until the KID-DROP Shuttle has come to a complete stop.

  • Please dress your children appropriately for the season in case of emergencies.

  • For your child(ren's) safety, KID-DROP reserves the right to refuse registration and or service to anyone at anytime.

  • After registration, KID-DROP will review your application before confirming scheduling of the first ride. We take priority in making sure we have all the proper information before we transport your child(ren).

  • Booster seats are required for children under the age of eight unless they are 4' 9″ or taller.

KID-DROP has the right to refuse service to riders for any reason.

Before and During the Ride
  • Be on time! Due to KID-DROP’s convenient door to door service we require all scheduled riders to be ready at their door 5 minutes prior to their scheduled pick up time.

  • Make sure a reliable person is home to meet the vehicle before drop off time. If you would like your child dropped off alone we will require that communication in writing via email; dispatch@kid-drop.com

    • Any extra time will be charged.

  • Children MUST use the bathroom before their ride. As KID-DROP does not provide washroom facilities on board and we are unable to make unscheduled stops.

  • Children are not allowed to bring more luggage/equipment than specified at the time of booking. All personal items must be stowed under their personal seat.

  • KID-DROP van will stop at scheduled destinations only.

  •  KID-DROP is unable to re-route our driver after your child is picked up.

    • The Pick-Up and Drop-Off location are locked in at booking.

  • KID-DROP does not make unscheduled stops.

    • Any changes must be approved through KID-DROP Dispatcher a minimum of 24 hours prior to pick up.

  • Drivers cannot leave the van unattended. They will not announce their arrival by knocking or ringing the doorbell.  Please have your children ready to come out at their scheduled time.

  • The driver cannot accept any itinerary changes.

    • Please contact KID-DROP Dispatch @ 780-838-1113 and notify of any changes via text message or email only.

  • Should your child be sick or injured at the time of pick up, KID-DROP has the right to refuse service.

  •  It is extremely important that you advise us if your child will not be riding with us. Please confirm your absence as soon as possible by texting dispatch @ 780-838-1113 or emailing dispatch@kid-drop.com .

    • This will help to avoid delays in performing other pick-ups, and not create worries for your safety.

  • KID-DROP is not responsible for lost or stolen items during the ride.

  • Only registered passengers will be permitted to ride with KID-DROP.

Rider Drop-Off
  • The Approved Guardian at Drop-Off may be asked to present valid picture ID. No picture ID may result in the child being returned to their original location with no reimbursement of fare. 

  • Due to our tight schedule for Pick-Up and Drop-Off, we are only able to wait up to 5 minutes before departing to the next location.

  • If there is no one on the receiving end at Drop-Off, our KID DROP driver will wait 5 minutes before departing to their next location. KID-DROP will contact the ADMIN parent and return the child to the original Pick-Up location. If this is not possible and a child cannot be handed over to an approved adult KID DROP will be required by law to contact the proper authorities. 

  • Should your child be sick or injured at the time of pick up, KID-DROP has the right to refuse service.

  • If you seek an alternative drop-off location for any reason, KID-DROP will apply a service charge of $25.00. A $25.00 service charge will also apply if the driver is asked to wait for more than 10 minutes for your child.

    • Please have a backup plan for these situations and communicate them with dispatch @ 780-838-1113

A one-way fare of $25 will be charge if any of the issues above arise

at Pick-Up or Drop-Off.

Cancellation of Rides
  • Scheduled rides must be cancelled within 24-Hours of booked ride. 

  • Cancellations made 24 hours prior to service will be credited to your account. Cancellations made within 24 hour hours are non refundable.  

    • Deposit of refunds is out of our control and will be re-deposited to your account based off the payment method from original transaction (credit card, e-transfer, etc.)

  • The driver cannot accept any itinerary changes.

    • Please contact KID-DROP Dispatch @ 780-838-1113 and notify of any changes via text message or email only.

    • Should your child be sick or injured at the time of pick up, KID-DROP has the right to refuse service.

Identification (ID) Cards
  • By submitting your rider’s photo and birthday, the Admin Guardian is hereby giving consent to KID-DROP to use the uploaded photo and child’s age on registration cards.

  • Prices/Fares are subject to change.

  • KID-DROP is a pre scheduled pre paid service.

  • Your ride must be paid within 24 hours of your request or your booking is cancelled.   

 COVID-19 Liability Waiver
  • I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that Alberta Health Services and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. 

  • I further acknowledge that KID-DROP Inc. has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

  • I further acknowledge that KID-DROP Inc. can not guarantee that the rider/myself will not become infected with the Coronavirus/COVID-19. 

  • I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, driver’s, school officials and other clients and their families.

  • I voluntarily seek services provided by KID-DROP Inc. and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

  • I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending school and other extra curricular activities.

  • I attest that my child(ren):

    • Are not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.

    • We have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days.

    • We do not believe to have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. 

    • We have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/COVID-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities.

    • We are following all Alberta Health Services recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

  • I hereby release and agree to hold KID-DROP Inc. harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from KID-DROP Inc. I understand that this release discharges KID-DROP Inc. from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against this company with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from KID-DROP Inc. This liability waiver and release extends to KID-DROP Inc. together with all owners, partners, and employees.

BY ACCEPTING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU ARE ALSO ACCEPTING THE COVID LIABILITY WAIVER FOR ALL YOUR FAMILY'S RIDERS.
